Ice Mountain® awards grants to Michigan township recycling programs

On this America Recycles Day, BlueTriton Brands through its Ice Mountain® Brand team salutes the great strides being made by local community recycling centers. We applaud Morton Township Recycling Center (Mecosta County, MI), Osceola Township’s spring and fall clean up days (Osceola County), and Mecosta and Osceola-Lake Conservation District’s annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection program.

These Michigan rural community-based recycling programs provide residents the resources needed to dispose of and repurpose materials (like cardboard and plastics), as well as safely dispose of toxic household hazardous wastes (like oil, paint, and other chemicals). Ice Mountain® directly supports these organizations since as early as our first year in business in Michigan in 2002 and through the Ice Mountain Environmental Stewardship Fund that awards grants to organizations working throughout the Muskegon River Watershed.

Arlene Anderson-Vincent, Natural Resources Manager with BlueTriton Brands said, “we applaud Morton Township Recycling Center, Osceola Township’s spring and fall clean up days, and Mecosta and Osceola-Lake Conservation District’s annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection program. Ice Mountain is pleased to award $10,000 each to Morton and Osceola township recycling programs and through the Ice Mountain Environmental Stewardship Fund, $12,900 to the Mecosta and Osceola-Lake Conservation District Household Hazardous Waste Collection program.”

BlueTriton Brands has supported the Morton Township Recycling program with contributions totaling $105,000.
